fluid flowing through a pipe with the changing diameter. Diameter at inlet
R1 = 0.2 m; Diameter at outlet R2 = 0.1m.
- Fluid
density ρ = 1 kg/(m3); Viscosity μ = 1×10-5 kg/(ms).
- Uniform velocity
profile at inlet U = 0.25 m/s.
- Reynolds
number at pipe inlet Re = ρUD/μ = 5,000.
- Hydrostatic
pressures are ignored.
- 2D
axisymmetric analysis was performed in ANSYS Fluent.
Setup
Instructions
- Download
and install the Runtime Library of Matlab 2010a
for the first time before running the program. You only need to install
the Runtime Library once for all different cases

the interactive tool (compiled) and run it in your computer.
